HOW TO: Paper Bag Curls

If you're anything like me, your hair is almost IMPOSSIBLE to curl, and when it does it doesn't stay in for very long. I had this problem until one of my friends told me a new way to curl your hair! It's called Paper Bag Curls:
At first, you'll look a little silly. But here's the steps on how to do paper bag curls (the RIGHT way)

Here's what you need:
Paper bags
scissors
bobby pins
damp hair

Steps:
Step 1: First thing you need to do is lay the paper bags out hot dog style (horizontally) and begin cutting them from one side to the other, about 2 inches in width. Once you cut a strip, cut the edges so instead of having one, you have two.
Step 2: After you have cut enough paper bag strips to wrap in your hair, you begin to put them into your hair. If you didn't just take a shower, you can take a spray bottle and spray the strips of your hair to be damp, but make sure it's not sopping wet. You're going to put the strips in your hair kind of like curlers. First you put the paper bag at the bottom of your hair, then cross one side over to the other. Then, pinch it together and begin rolling it up towards the top of your head.
Step 3: Once you roll to the top of your head, fold the other piece of the bag under the little roll of hair to the opposite side, so you have a piece of paper bag on both sides.
Step 4: Once you do this, all you have to do is tie the paper bag strip into a knot. I had problems getting the pieces to stay in my hair, so I bobby pinned them to the top of my head.

If you have short hair like I do, then you will have little pieces that hang down and won't fit in a piece of paper bag. Don't panic! Just twist them to the best of your ability and bobby pin them to your head.

I recommend doing this at night, so you can sleep on it and the curls will have longer to set in. I also HIGHLY recommend doing this on a weekend or on a day when you don't need to go anywhere, because it's possible for this method to work TOO well (it can give you a weird afro). It may take you a few tries to get the method down for what works best with your hair, but once you do it's easy to just take a curling iron to do some touch ups, and your hair is all ready to go!
End result:

(We were curling our hair for a school play)

Hope this helps!
